What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is used for a variety of cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, and lip liner/color.
Permanent makeup, also known as Intra-dermal Pigmentation, is a revolutionary method of applying natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. This state of the art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe.
The procedure for eyebrows can mimic the appearance of hair in the brow line. Anyone who desires fullness of the brows will love the procedure (and the time saved not applying makeup). Those suffering from brow loss are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks.
A subtle, natural look, mimicking thousands of tiny eyelashes with the implantation of pigments in the lash line is popular with both male and female patients. Additional color can be added for a soft, natural line or a bolder, definite line can be achieved.
What is the difference between the traditional tattooing process and permanent makeup?
Both procedures involve tattooing the skin. In traditional tattooing, pigment is added to the third layer of the skin, where permanent makeup is added to the second layer of the skin (dermis) creating a softer blend of color to the area.
Is the procedure painful?
Topical anesthetic creams/liquids are used to minimize discomfort.
Do I have a choice of colors?
Definitely! There’s a wide spectrum of colors to choose from. Your practitioner has been trained in color theory to help choose the most flattering shade.
What is involved with recovery?
There will be slight to moderate swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside within a few days. You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Complete healing takes four to six weeks while the pigmentation matures and reached its final color.
